Hey, I'm gonna phone the patents office, this sounds just like my 'Audio Resonance Sequence Emulator'Well, if you ever decide to go to component level-modelling, I am willing to license my patented Unit-Randomised Attribute Neo-Uniqueness System (tm) technology...

My system is provably better - it has more definition in the bottom end.

Ahh you can't beat fun with acronyms. Gotta admit though, U.R.A.N.U.S. does sound like my A.R.S.E. Although your system may have more definition in the bottom end, my missus will testify that my A.R.S.E is more focused on higher frequencies...

sounds good, two 'identical' synths that cannot be played together due to random tuning and drift, just like the good old dayswhyterabbyt wrote:The oscillator module in Spark FXmachine has a cheese sandwich on it that gets eaten over time
Actually, sort of offtopic, but after reading that someone (Add N to X?) collected multiple MS20's because they all sounded different, and I always thought it would be cool if someone offered a softsynth that was guaranteed to be unique for each one, ie some sort of random factor was added in to various parameters (drift, accuracy et.c.) dependent on a registration code or something...

Yesterday at work, one of my co-workers suggested we name our web project "Server Hosting Information Topologies." We were going to host the files in the directory /html/docs/SHIT.
Acronyms are fun.

I think she meant that you were far too fast?

Tau1's knobs are permanently fixed in round-and-round mode. Tau2 has selectable knob-modes (via a button on the GUI), either round-and-round or up-and-down.Will the mouse-response of the knobs in linear mode be the same as on tau1
As for price, it will be $17.50. We're also going to do a good deal for Tau Pro owners.
Regards
Dave

$17.50 is already a good deal for Tau Pro owners. And since I'm someone who hasn't noticed aliasing before but have noticed how passionate you tend to be about it, does it really make that much of a difference?Muon Software Ltd wrote:As for price, it will be $17.50. Thanks, but that's not what I meant. On Tau1 (at least on Macintosh) you can have up-and-down (what I refered to as 'linear') by pressing the option-key. Then moving the mouse up and down gives a specific response in respect to mouse speed and the distance.Muon Software Ltd wrote:Tau1's knobs are permanently fixed in round-and-round mode. Question was if this response will be the same.
You know it's like the difference between using a knob or the mod-wheel, or like the difference between using the 4control or the Pocket-Dial - they all behave different and so the automation you draw with them is and sounds different. I like the mouse-response of Tau1 very much.

Tau v.1.1, not Tau Pro.
Host: Logic Platinum 4.8.1.
Just doublechecked (though I was sure):
Yes, hold down the Option-Key (ALT) and you have 'up-and-down' mode.
AFAIK it's in the VST SDK, so you maybe simply forgot that you've coded it in....
