Another way to mix :

I've made this plug (no gui now, only an idea-beta >

This isn't my idea (cf : PHZ and QAM, and Acousmodules, and others, maybe). Humility.

My beta plug is only for a track.
But we can work to have all the tracks on 1 screen.

OK. Nice. Now, we can mix two tracks with racks in Tracktion (or another way in another host) !

So this one has two inputs then right? I'll try it right now...

Yep! Works perfectly!

If this is something you're going to continue to develop, then might I suggest that the user be able to change the numbers into labels, so that number 1 can actually be seen as "drums" and number two can be seen as "bass" for example.

But yeah, this is a really nice way of mixing audio.

sorry, this may sound odd but a traditional mixer works best for me...imaging should be in my mind as that's how the listener has to do it...the concept of this mixer is cool but it would certainly inluence my mental perception of imaging and may give me a false representation of my mix...in other words, for me a mix is audible, not visual...the image is a mental image, not visual

I love this style of mixing! The only thing, as Amberience mentioned, would be to have customizable names upon the dots like "drums1" or "vocals".
As with Hink's "false representation" - i just close my eyes to test the mix. (Although my mixing is horrible at my novice level :)) this style of mixing is just more user friendly than the "level thing, pan knob, little goofy EQ, and gain that makes things explode".

I hear what you're saying, but for me I might have a problem with that because my eyes have already influenced my brain...I mix with my ears, not my eyes...but remember, that's just me.

Please DO NOT STOP developing this!!! This is exactly what I have been craving for years now. It seems that whenever I mention this way of mixing, I get quizzical looks, laughed at, or just plain shit on. I'm a visual person and for me it works hand in hand with audio. If you can get this to work with multiple tracks, say at least 24, it will be a miracle for me and possibly many others. Thank you so much for taking this idea seriously enough to hopefully make it a reality!

Thank's to all :)

Miquel, can I keep the gif, if someone ask to me how connect in AODIX ?

I'm trying to work about labels (instrument names), but it's not easy. Some days, may be... :?
