Browsed esoundz today and found that all Expansion Tanks were removed. Are they discontinued?

Well I already have most of the ExpansionTanks that are usable for the kind of music I make, so I won't start pulling my hair out even if they are discontinued. But considering that no other sampler has such a limited choice of sound libraries, I really wonder what they come up with to fill the obvious gap.

Squids said they have been discontinued but all of the SR titles will exist as downloads on esoundz.

But something up-to-date please! Most ExpansionTanks are SampleTank 1 format, and have become a bit long in the tooth. For example, the 160db library sounds completely outdated for today's standards in drum'n'bass. Or get some stuff from modernbeats.com and then listen to the ExpansionTank hiphop libraries: laughable stuff for the most part.

Some of the AMG and other non-SR titles are still available if you want them. Just contact jorge@esoundz.com The Sonic Reality Expansion Tanks are pretty much sold out. Although if you want those you can ssk and we can get them to you while we have supplies. After that the Sonic Reality ET sounds will be available as individual downloads from www.esoundz.com

There WILL be new SampleTank sound collections coming soon and on top of that Sonic Reality is going to release hundreds of new SampleTank (and other format) sounds on esoundz for download as well... sounds designed for ST2.X

Sorry I didn't give you guys an early head's up. It was a quick decision when we saw that we were running out and there are new product plans that don't involve the ST2 LE anymore... I know it seems puzzling but time will tell... and I think you will like what we're up to!

Sounds cool, Squids! I'm sure the Sonic Reality stuff will be great as always.

Still, I wouldn't mind getting hold of a proper tool for designing my own instruments. Are there any plans at IK for it? (If you happen to know and are allowed to tell us, of course). I'm a creative person and feel a little cheated in this regard: I bought an "ultimate sample workstation" (as IK advertises it) yet I'm sort of stuck with ridiculously limited import capabilities, and have to rely on other people's stuff in practice.

Yes. But will first be released in individual formats on www.esoundz.com and then an upgrade to a potential multi-format version will be made later on.
