I have UBK with manystation.
I have groove in my head but to transcribe them with realistic feeling it'd hard .
I ask for a help or a tutorial if it's possible.
Thanks for help !

WHO IS THIS MASKED MAN, GREGJAZZZ!?

Post

He develops Sample libraries with us here at ManyTone. I've never seen him in a mask though.... but then again, I've never seen him.

Oh, I only wear a mask when I record samples. It gives it that sound.

Hey, if you know the bass pattern you want, I can make a tutorial out of it, how to make it sound really realistic.

If you could find the time I'm sure I could benefit from it.

Question: I almost always go to Manyguitar and UBK for bass, I love the amp emulator section. I'm wondering now if Manystation would a better choice? Will the ability to have multiple layers add to producing a realistic bass line.

Good question.

Sometimes if the bassline demands more techniques, what I do is load up the soundsets in Manystation, and then load in more than one articulation. I then make it so that the mod wheel can switch between (using the volume control) the two soundsets. This way you only need one instance of Manystation and only one MIDI channel.

Like if you wanted to mix fingered bass and slapping, you could do this. Or even just switching between the "fingered" and "bassics" soundsets to get more options and sounds. You could also do a fingered/tapping combo, using the tapping to simulate hammer-ons (since that's essentially what a hammer-on is!)

Use your voice and record the groove then play over top of the voice.. To get a really natural bassline from my head to track I voiced a bass idea, limited my voice really tight and boosted signal, auto tuning the voice so it was closer to real notes, put the voice into melodyne and tweak it so it has natural slide etc then transcribe that to MIDI, load that up into my fav host and voila I have a pretty natural bass.. LOL
