Bad, bad english language. Sorry, I try. I try.
WAAAH?
I sometimes make a good tune, or send my arty stuff to people - I NEVER expect to get any kind of gratitude, even less a mail saying so.WAAAH?
For me, a book "is living" only if it's read by others than the writer.
When I create a song, I don't want gratitude, no, but I want that someone listen my piece, with may be a feedback. :?
I say at this person: "Do you know, I want transmitt an idea, an image by this song. Have you understood, what I mean ?"
And if this person have other feelings, other images with my song it's nice. :)

And when I listen a song that I like it, it's important for me to write to the musician that I've listened his song and to thank'it to share his music.

Same thing for the plugs. :)

Hello, guys

Sometimes, I speak with many developpers of free plugins and the conclusion is ever the same…
Do you know what is the time, the work, the effort, the stress to create a plug ? Yes, If you create plugs.
Some developpers make the choice to offer free their plugs. Nice. No money.
But, often, no mails. Silence. People download and download and use and use. It's all. Egoism.
More respect and consideration if you must buy the plug ? Sad.
Sometimes, a mail : « Thank's ». Only a thanks is a great evidence of a good-breeding and make happy the developper.
Much developpers think like me.
And If you don't like the plugin, say by mail : « I don't like this plugin, beacause… ». No silence.

So, I propose to you : every time you download and use a plugin, send a mail to the developper and say « Thank's » or "Try preferably to create a garden  ".
And the developper will be happy for all the day along and he will not pound his child and he will offer flowers to his wife and he drive perfectly on the road. :D
...or he will become a friar.

Don't lynch me, I know I'm right. :P

I think there is something here, by judging the agreement it creates, that need to be included in the kvr rules as a recommended advice, or as a sticky thread

Without by myself beeing ( enough ? ) sensitive to this particular point, i feel that in general there is much agressivity revealed by the used vocabulary of a vast majority of the posters

Obviously the "modern way of life" is mainly responsible of this aggressivity that reflects an overall social climat, but am amazed that a context ( musicians, artists, among others...) in there the people are notoriously more sensitive that the average, it isn't much disaprooved

My own experience i life allow me to say that it is impossible to do a good creative job if you have to take much of your time and effort to protect yourself against an overall sharpness

Luckily, i don't feel this as something i can't completely avoid when i'm posting by my side

consider this as my two cents, unless...

...Bien joué Daniel- , ... BIEN JOUE !! :tu:

My 2 cents, for what it's worth --

If you can spend the time to download somebody's work, that they've made available to you out of the goodness of their heart, then it's just good manners to thank them, either by clicking a quick e-mail, or by noting it in a thread here at KVR if they hang out here.

I'm far from perfect at this myself, so I'm trying to not sound all self-righteous, but it really isn't that hard to write a few appreciative words.

You'd say thanks to somebody in meatspace if they gave you something free or cheap that was cool, wouldn't you?

I like this debate. It's very interesting read many people reacting about one subjet or another.
Thank's to you
