omg omg i found that cool sound ive been searching for for so long!!! what is it called?

load the AIX97011.8XL lib, and go to preset 017 - EOWW

ok i am personally a very very slim synth vsti collector- and THIS one has finally creeped in... Only other synths of this type I have now are minimonsta, fm7, and synth1... lucky sq80 !!!

Hi Sigi,

I can not tell exactly when or why it might happen, but if I run the plugin for a while, the computer keyboard stops responding to any input and the only thing I can do is save the song (without being able to rename it) and restart the host (Cubase SX3 in my case). Sorry that I don't have more debug info at this point.

Other than that I am very very happy about this plug!

I just tried again and got the problem show up after just waiting a couple of minutes with the sound browser open... the plug itself still received keyboard input, but the host does't get any...

I'll email these findings to Sigi's Email... if anyone else has infos about this, please share your observations!

I'm also experiencing another weird bug in FL Studio 7:
SQ8L often fails to respond to keypresses/skips notes even when the sound seems OK (VSTi window is out of focus).

It's nice surprise to see the SID/Amiga legend posting here at KVR

Your SQ8L demo is a great showcase of the lovely sounds this baby can make.

Chris,do you remember that Thornado demo of yours? It was a brilliant piece of sound art.I really loved that track.
It's a shame the game was never released,as it looked very promising

Have you made any other tracks for this game,or the T demo was the only thing left of this vaporware?
BTW,have you tried the new Unknown64 Pro (C64 SID) synth by Odo? It's one of the greatest plugins out there,sounds so close to the real SID it's amazing.If you try it,check out my demo tracks I made with this synth (links in the Unknown64 Pro thread).

I'm working on the problem with keyboard input.
Also, I realised that there are still hanging notes in the new version

And sorry for the confusion with the wrong 0.831a link.

I'm very happy that you guys are still interested in my plugin, although it had so many problems (far more than expected).
Thanks for helping me improve the SQ8L!
Of course, the full version SQ8X will also benefit from this

Any news on this - I've found the latest vertsion actually behaves worse as for the keyboard input and other issues - it locks out much sooner.

Plus, loaded banks do get saved with the project in SX, i.e. each time I open a project using SQ8L that was saved with a different bank, the original always loads, except for the current preset, which is from the correct bank.

I also notice that sometimes when trying to load another bank in an instance that the GUI freezes up, and sometimes, when the project loads, certain instances display only a blank screen.

Hi Jeremy,
Unfortunately all of the Factory soundbanks for the SQ-80 are not Freely available on-line, so hence they could not be included in the soundset I provided.

But some of the sounds Chris listed aren't in the Factory presets too!

I haven't seen this thread in awhile - rather than surf through 30+ pages, has the issue with the Tracktion GUI been resolved?

My first synth that I bought with hard-earned lawn-mowing money was an ESQ-1, so I'm pretty excited to have these old school sounds back at my fingertips.

Does anybody know the patchnames of the first 2 sounds (first: synth, second: pad)???

Or can anybody provide those sounds or similar stuff?

I'm also interested how the chord of the second sound (pad) is played...

SQ80 emulating VSTi available
