Wow, this has balloned since last night (NZ time)

I almost fell asleep at my deck trying these techniques and also setting up my soundcard. Was dissapionted to hear that Cubase doesnt convert/export the higher rates very well.

Keep it coming guys. This is interesting stuff.

OK - well upsampling is cool for sure...extra clarity and all!

...but have you guys tried out the Ferox plugin from the Psychoacoustic Comp thread? I swear it does a dirty tape deck like I haven't heard since I got rid of my old sound-on-sound decks and old echoplex...

Clarity - and Dirt! And they ask us why we drink...

yeh I have, I got put on to the echo unit but grabbed that at the same time, dictched the echo and stuck with Ferox. it has its place for sure.

I'm planning all these dos while watching out for the donts while at the same time wondering if it makes a difference while my monitors are plugged in to the 1/4 jacks of my 0404.

Yay for challenging debatable mysterious concepts of audio quality.
