BR085 -Different MIDI Note Config in different hosts
LS sets up different MIDI Playback notes on the Settings page, when in different hosts.
In energyXT:
The Play Arrangement settings are C1 to B4
The Play Slices settings are C4 to B7
The possible values are C-1 to B7
C4, sent from the host, triggers the first slice
In XT2:
The Play Arrangement settings are C3 to B6
The Play Slices settings are C6 to B9
The possible values are C1 to B9
C4, sent from the host, triggers the first slice (the one said to be triggered by C6)
In Tracktion:
The Play Arrangement settings are C0 to B3
The Play Slices settings are C3 to B6
The possible values are C-2 to B6
C4, sent from the host, triggers the first slice (the one said to be triggered by C3)
(I selected C3 as middle C (MIDI note 60)
---------------
LS Version 1.44 in XT2:
The Play Arrangement settings are C1 to B4
The Play Slices settings are C6 to G10 !
The possible values are C0 to G10

BR:
Dont know if this effecs other hosts but with Beta 8 in reaper using multiple outputs creates some kind of permanant high pitched audio output to any of the outputs after output 1. This happens at 44/88/96. Beta 7 works fine though.

Yep - different hosts have different ideas of what the middle C is. I guess it has to do with different traditions in different parts of the world. I was unaware of the option to change the middle C in tracktion so I just use the default value. I'll have to add an option to change the middle C in the LiveSlice. That would help problems with hosts that doesn't report their identity to the plugins (Sony ACID and XT2)DarkStar wrote:BR085 -Different MIDI Note Config in different hosts

I have no idea how you made the old liveslice display the correct octave in xt2 are you absolutely sure you did?

here's a screenshot of LS144 loaded into XT2, nothing else touched:

My point was, I think, that the range in LS should always run from C-2 t0 B8 - in the previous test I was seeing notes labelled B9 and G10.
AFAIK, middle C is MIDI note 60, this would be C2 in the above range. An option to change the middle C "note number" should do it.

Hey ohmy.....did you manage to locate the secondary outputs bug from my post above?
In beta 8 sound from the first output is fine but from any other there is a high pitched audio constantly when they are enabled. Same thing is fine though in beta7 though.
Cheers,
Tom

Bug was found and fixed - it was very simple - the hardest part was to figure out how to set up the output routing in Reaper, being used to more visual / modular routing schemesenglish wrote:Hey ohmy.....did you manage to locate the secondary outputs bug from my post above?
