How cool is this ? Drummachine with wireless remote !

I just found this.I remember it from old Korg brochures but did'nt think much of it at the time. The Korg DRM-1.

It is the 19 inch rackmount (duh,orly?) version of the DDD-1. It even has inbuilt sequencer which is kinda rare for a rackmount unit. But the real kickinthenads is that it has a wireless remote.


You don't see that too often.
I remember one of their effect units had one as well.
But don't you have to see the tiny display to use it ?
Then you might as well just press the buttons on the front panel.

Anyways i thought this was cool as hell and thought i'd share it with the rest of you.

Ha ha ! Never seen this !
Reminds me of Kraftwerk's performance in Hammersmith Apollo in London. They stood at the edge of the stage with this tiny box ( that looked like a remote control) which had sound making buttons. If I'm not mistaken, they allowed the public to have a go !
I suppose if the same happened with the above Korg unit, they would need to pass the manual as well !!
