Hi guys,
Just wondering if any of you know if the m-audio drivers for the firewire solo will work with 10.4.9 tiger?
On their web the latest driver only says for version 10.4.8 and thats the version im on right now. Should I upgrade to 10.4.9 or will this driver not work?
Thanks[/code]

I would hold off on upgrading your OS until M-Audio have announced officially that they have an updated driver that supports 10.4.9. I have heard from a few people on another forum that they are having problems with their M-Audio interfaces after updating. I have also read that some users have been unaffected. I hate it when OS updates lead to both hardware and software problems, so I understand your caution. Some OS updates squash previous bugs and enable a better computing experience. But with audio hardware and the software we use, sometimes an update can put a sudden stop to the music-making process.
If your system is stable and in working order, I wouldn't mess with it. It will not take long to find out what other people are experiencing, either good or bad. I always go by the advice of the manufacturers' website. If you decide to take a chance before M-Audio releases any info, make sure to backup your files (I know you've heard that a thousand times, but it's important), and download the OS Combo Update from Apples website. You may want to repair permissions before and after the update. As a courtesy, post back your results so others in your situation can benefit from your knowledge. Thanks and Good Luck!!
