Is there any chance of adding a midi note off feature capability? I would use it to throw in a couple quick scratches in my songs. I could do this by taking the rendered scratches and throwing them into a sampler but it'd be nice if this was built in already.

Just to make sure I add the right feature, you're asking to have note-offs stop the current scratch?computermusic500 wrote:Is there any chance of adding a midi note off feature capability? If I understood correctly, I can have that in with the next update.
I'd like to flesh out the whole midi handling system a lot more, so please don't hesitate to ask for features!

well triggering different multiple loop points in the sample would be coooL
like being able to set 3 diff loop points and tell each loop how many times to repeat and give all the loop points automation. woooooohoooooo and midi mappable

Sorry I haven't been able to put up an update lately. I just lost out on a potential internship for the summer, so at the moment I'm scrambling to find a job.

I took a break from internship-hunting for a little bit today, and was able to finally get some coding done on Scratcher.
I have a question to all those using it, would the following give a better visual of where sounds are in the selected audio? It's a an image of the currently selected audio that follows the cursor around. It takes less CPU to do than the "wave markers" setup that I have now, and I think it looks better (less cluttered than using a bunch of transparent rectangles).

Feedback is appreciated

good in theory, as long as we can zoom and resize the window. fruity wavetraveller has a similar view, the main problem is if your wav is relatively complex (like your example is), its difficult to see where the sections are when its reduced to fit the window like that. a sample any longer than 10 seconds would be very hard to read, whereas with it oriented horizontally, you have a better chance of reading the waveform clearly.
good luck with the job hunt!

Do you mean you want to see the whole editor rotated 90 degrees?stale bread wrote:yeah horizonttally would be great, that's one thing that annoys me about wave traveller, c'mon lay the wav down maaan

it might be a good idea skrasms but honestly speaking I think i should be careful about what I request, I really think you've got a good knack for this thing and i don't want to jinx it.
