this also means that i could use the 8x8 grid of the KP3 in tandem with the 8x8 grid of the Monome....plus a whole lot more

I just got the KP3.I see it shows up as a storage device Is it possible to drag and drop samples into it? Or do have to use the Editor? Everytime I click on it a message reads:
Please insert a disc", I put a SD Card in...and it was formatted? Or do I need a SD Card Reader? In the first part of this thread it seems I don't need a reader for the card.

what i don't like or understand is why the kaosspad 3 only has Global effx editing, I mean it's only got 4 sample pads it would make alot more sense for a unit costing this much money to at least allow for individual editing of the 4 samples

this thing should have individual motion recording per sample pad as well, and a bank of those that you could save and apply from easily on the fly

what do you mean? the motion recording applies to the (single) effects engine, not the sample playback.

I guess in a way that is what i mean, i wish very much that the motion recording was for more than a few seconds, that you could have at least 1 per sample, and could call up autmation patches from a bank on the fly quick and easy. and I hate having drum samples loaded and effected by the same effect as everything else so i wish for more flexibility than this global effecting also.
