Some audio clips of Eurotic Epic Basses would'nt hurt for us old geezers who have no idea what that means.

Anyways Xhip and PolyIblit are my favourite bassmachines for the moment.

Both are free and if you want to go commercial you could do worse than Albino
I find it really good for deep basses. It is a bit underwhelming at first but it is a really good "workhorse" synth that is capable of really good bass sounds.

Saw, Saw Sync with a bit of pulse width change. Unison.
Also make the filter decay low, while leaving the sustain high, just to get that high-to-deep sound.

Simple, you'll get it.

There are many types of trance bass sound.

Some people like to use a single saw tooth with a lowpass filter env. Others might use two saw waves doubled at the octave. You can use a square wave and experiment with the pulse width. Whats important is getting the filter settings right. Often, with this kind of sound it can be good to get up a pattern first, then have velo controlling the filter. Add a little delay, and you can have a nice bass pattern.

A lot of producers like to use the supersaw down low too. Push does this alot.

But I agree, we really need to hear samples.

you can almost take every vst for a trance bass..question is..what is a trance bass these days...es2 is good if u are into logic... synthation.net got a trancesoundset for ES2 ...and some other...but u also can use ES1 or Minimoog...

synth 1 aint bad for trancy stuff. set both osc's to saw and detune the crap out of the second. set your filter env attack super fast, the sustain and release closed and experiment with the decay time.

oh yeah. use the lpf.

er, thats the trance bass ive used...

hope this makes sense
