Kinda like something the Beatles would have done on Sgt. Peppers or'The White Album'! :)
Thanks Xander, it was posted just to share the fun

scotthagel - Barrelbuster : A very attractive version; inspiring sounds. Your interpretation makes me want to do a version too with my fart-bass ! Quoting Liqih : "Fritzzante !", sparkling ! :D

Without any doubt, this month's concept (Scoops, you're a remarkable man ! Quoting Ali G. : "Respect !") shows clearly some of the potential that computer added to music !
Until then music recording IMO was rather a Spinal Tap story. When you finally recorded every track, without noises nor errors, one still felt frustated. Scissors and tape gave a bit more freedom, but... :help: (remember Miles Davis)
Now if a certain sound choise appears to be a big mistake, you just replace it !

Happy Max... .. .:P

Yeah, I processed part of the drum track with Nuclear Cranium which is a kind of FSU effect and pulls out any kind of weird sound from it

@MaliceX: btw I'm working on your midifile and it's fooking hard to play, with time changes and odd sig and too many notes needed... :hihi:

No worries. Even I found it hard to play around with in terms of pelv-- i mean, chopdancing around. ;)

Perhaps it's just the familliarity with odd time sigs. I've seemed to find a lot of songs that have these are still derived from 4/4 or 6/8 but with added/removed beats per bar.

ie: 5/8 can be done as 6/8 but with one beatchop
ie: 7/4 can be done as 4/4 + 3/4 or 2(4/4) - 1/4 maths rawr

LR, that MaliceX is indeed some kind of... and the worst is still to come (being 16 years "old") ! :help:
I'm convinced he must have some kind of computer to help him writing his music ! :hihi:

Yeah. It's called using MIDI sequencing software on computer. I could read and write a bit of score but ugh, takes too long. :P
Other than that I can play some keyboard. (EDIROL PCR-M80)

Thank the years of ear-training (practice?) from transcribing songs from video games to MIDI since 2001. And thank a shifty version of Sound Forge 4 for being on my (older) computer in 1999. :D

Question: How do I stop the tempo changing according to the imported midi file and stick it to one tempo only (in FL Studio 6)?

Or where can I find a freeware program that I can edit midi files with?

Any help would be helpful :D

Thanks.

After you've imported your midi, click on 'View' and then on 'Automation'. That should open up a list of automation events in the browser on the left side of the screen. One of those events will be 'Tempo (coarse)'. Clicking on that will open up a window. Click on the top left corner of that window, click 'Edit', then click 'Delete all'. You can then close that window. The tempo events will be gone, and you can set it the way you want it.

Another way is right-clicking (double-leftclick??) the tempo box to open its automation graph and rub out all the changes. ^^

Emerald - Tablet story : Outstanding ! I love the voice. The composer of this midi file must be having a great time !
 hope he has

thanks!

Thanks Echo. There is still so much I don't know about FL, but it still appears to have the most potential out of all the DAW's. At least for composing...

Thanks again.

No problem, napalmbob. I'm constantly learning new things about FL. It definitely suits some composing styles, like my own; very easy to get up and going. But there's a lot of stuff hidden in there, and I know I'm only using a fraction of it's potential myself.
