Which 2 Octave USB Keyboard is the easiest to program? Or, the most user
friendly? thx

Post

I have the ESI and it doesn't work very well with USB, I have to power it and use the MIDI out. Other than that it's easy to use and the action is good. Reason locks itself into it straight away.

Best thing would be to say what your budget is, cuz you have the choice of some that go up to $1000(AUD).
Gear list: Sony micro tape dictaphone, shares in Behringer and elastic bands.

Yeah, I don't want to have to plug it in. It must run 100% from USB power.. so i guess the ESI is out.
I'm looking the closest at the Axiom 25. My budget is in that range - thanks for your reply

i've got the older novation. the remote 25. it works great and is bus powered. you should be able to find one cheap now that the remote sl is available.

Use to have an Oxygen 8 but got rid of it cause IMO the keys felt toyish.. Axiom 25 is good, it has nice weighted keys and a drum pad :D

The Edirol PCR M-1 is really nice and small.

Edirol PCR M-1 looks cool because its so small and light... Interesting...

But the Axiom has those cool drumpads. I just wonder if the Axiom will be fully bus powered. I have a Mac G4 Powerbook that only delivers the BARE MINIMUM of current via USB, and some devices (esp. hard drives) don't power up.

Between those two, which is the easiest to program from the front panel?

edirol pcr 300, i have the 800 and its really good, you get drum pads as well. easy to program with the pcr edior and edirol are currently working on some maps, however you can load the old pcr50 maps in also, a little pricey but has a good solid feel to it, it also has a cross fader so it can be used as a dj controller.. wicked gear
laziness is nothing more than resting before you get tired.
