lubi: My hidden track for a mixed cd....it's wonderful, when it suddenly appears out of the mist of sounds...great fun track! 8)

emerald tablet:
your voice is so damn good, you could even make christmess songs loveable (like Sufjan Stevens). Beautiful song! :tu:

scotthagel: hipo hipo hipopotat potatamo potamo pot pot pot....the fight around Rosy has begun, what about a special price for the best/worst Rosamunde. Yuppieh! :clown:

sHushi: Wow, you get different things together in a catchy and weird way: Fleetwood Max meets B 52's (thanks Max). Säähhrrrr guttttt! :harp:

Jonny Quest: Jonny is Jonny is Waits is Beefheart is Jonny is Ribot is Jonny is ....oh...like in january an outstanding experience: Bravo! :D

Hovmod: Great assemblage of sounds and noises...like a movie in my head. Love it!

Core: The orthodox church...a modernizzad version of the original, good sounds. Well done!

Sttjelle: The mainstream up-tempo mouzzakka of the same theme with various sounds and well played piano. Also well done!

adj wrote:Can you all please just THINK and trust me (and most everyone else who's been around here long enough) when I say that, discussing politics, right-wing religious polemics and moralising about someone else's musical lyrics leads to an argument with someone else who doesn't subscribe to your views -- and leads to the decline of the spirit of the cafe.
Right mate, we wouldn't want another Woodstock to break out. All of that crazy music just leads to decent, and free thinking. I can see why you don't like it

Everybody that loves to feel good even when people are dying all around them [or does the ocean's distance make it seem surreal], just disregard my posts. I am using music to express myself. Anybody that makes music and claims that it has no relevance to anything political, social, religious, is, well, a shallow, weak musician.

My use if the "Beer barrel poka" is symbolic of a political slight of hand, a false flag terror attack. I inverted the melody specifically to indicate that there is something upside down about the source and use of the 9/11 attacks. How about all of you? Do you have any type of symbolic efforts in you music? Does anybody write music to represent a thought, material goods, spiritualality? I bet you do. Even when you write music about smoking drugs, sex, and fast cars, you are covering politics and religion IMHO.

Now xander, you using many profiles side by side makes me think that you are misrepresenting yourself. If you have anything credible, interesting, or funny to say, you can do it with one, especially when it comes to voting. Have you ever cast votes with more that one profile?-( (Man, I sure got out of line there, sorry)

I know you don't like me. You needn't tell me again, but then, this is a free forum. Just keep it about music gossip, no politics please. :P

What do you think, Gag3, doesn't he like you virtually or really or... .
I only know three people here in real life and i like 'em. The appearence of a person (personare = sound through..) here is just a part of the 'real' one and sometimes a carefully built up image.
Maybe Alex would like you in real life.... and maybe you'd like him too.... .

I've been thinking it would be cool to write a song about futility, but then I get depressed and think "What's the point?"

I believe so, because I like his music. Yah, I agree that i should turn down the volume.

Something about getting 11 out of my amp....

Legion Hush - New Easy_Tumblin Down -> #4 - That distinctive Hush sound is definitely coming through. Nice lyrics and vocals (got your sister involved again? That's always good).

Jonny Quest - MidiFour -> #4 - Interesting mesh of sounds. I find it hard to characterize, but it's appealing.

Hovmod - Funfair -> #1, #3 - A little slice-of-life sound-seeing expedition with a subtle hint of music.

core - Off the Road -> #1 - Cool and easygoing. I like the percussion, very interesting (is that scratching with a shaker sound?).

sttjelle - Fueltrip -> #1 - A pleasantly invigorating ride, for some reason brings to mind the intro for a travel video or a contemporary religious broadcast.

Thanks Mello :D

If I could only be 1/2 as talented as 1/4 of those artists you referenced, I'd be fully delighted.
