is this the best program to sample softsynths? are there any alternatives?

huh? I don't get it. If you have the soft synth, why do you need to sample it?

What ever you do, do not buy OSR from DevineMachine as is added DC offset and out of sync samples for me(Unless you like to edit a lot after the fact). I hate finding this out after I buy something

if i got that correctly, you need to just bounce the audio while playing live a vsti?
if this is it, then i used the silverspike tapeit one, worked smoothly over here (the version 1 is free since they launched tapeit 2)
if you need instead to multisample a patch of a vsti, well, thats another thread going on lately in the forum with several freebie and payware options suggested

Yeah, I was just gonna say use yr host to render a midi file to audio. (Or TapeIt -- I've done both.)

arcdev made a (free) plugin which can sample like you want, i guess.
