I've not logged into electro-music for a couple of months while sorting out my Linux PC headaches but my, things have developed rapidly! Last time I remember this was talked about but now it's out - the Nord Modular version 1 to G2 converter.

Seeing as there is a huge archive of original patches out there that should keep me and many other G2 users happy for a long time. Just as awesome, one member has kindly converted every patch in the archive to G2 format (all in a handy iso format 200+MB file for storage on a CD).

Also cool, there's ongoing work on a DX to G2 converter (a working version is available but I haven't tried it yet but the G2 already does great DX and FM sounds and the G2 archive has a whole library of patches based on the original DX factory patches).

What a great forum!

Thanks for the bump, I've missed the original post

No problem. Wow - this thing has thousands of patches!!

Aren't there modules in the G1 with no equivalent in the G2? How are those handled?

Post

Don't know but I presume some compromises are made. See what it says on the site.

That was a bump in case anyone missed it. This is unmissable for G2 owners.
