Very simple answer : NO...

Just so you guys know, and everybody else knows, the reason I'm reading this thread is because I'm hoping for a way to compensate for the unforgivable latency and cpu usage of Proteus X2. So if you're looking to Emu to solve a problem, good luck!Daniel78 wrote:FYI, since version 2, EmuX doesn't require an E-MU audio card to run... the standalone version ships with a small usb midi interface, which it uses as a "dongle".Avene wrote: I know the latest E-MU EOS2 sampler now has this feature, but I don't have an E-MU card to use that with. It would be nice though with those z-plane filters.
I hear that! Think I need a "my own ears" vst.. searching....Sam@Megablastic wrote:I really don't think you can trust a program to "auto loop" that has to be done with your own ears to get it right.
But Extreme Sample Converter is probably the best app in my eyes for sure for building up your own library
Dayum no windows version arrg..Lovesign wrote:You've obviously never used Antares Infinity then ?
Nope i have'nt. I'm particulary anal when it comes to looping. I don't even like to use crossfades. I have used a couple of tools for looping that easies the process a bit but none that is fully automatic. I'd love for it to be one but i remain sceptical.Lovesign wrote:You've obviously never used Antares Infinity then ?kara wrote:jupiter8 wrote:I believe autolooping when i see it. Zero-X Seamless looper is pretty good. It'll give you suggestions.Lagrange wrote:It would be good for someone to come up with an algo that could at least give different snap shots or suggestions of possible loop points..
To explain myself better, in Vsampler theres an Autolooper feature that would be cool in some kind of batch app on its own (for those of use that are less anal about using crossfades etc).
Guess I can wish right

As it should be. Even with a batch autoloop process, you do want to choose by using your ears. Seamless Looper does batch, and so does Vsampler. However, I think VSampler is much, much better than Zero-X. I get a lot more usefull crossfade loops from it, and I don't even use Seamless Looper any more.jupiter8 wrote:Zero-X Seamless looper is pretty good. It'll give you suggestions.Lagrange wrote:It would be good for someone to come up with an algo that could at least give different snap shots or suggestions of possible loop points..

You still have to pick the best one for yourself though.
So no batch processing. And you still need to audition if it gets better with crossfade loop.
Have to do the looping yourself for a 64 key instrument with multiple layers?Bassballjg wrote:As it should be. Even with a batch autoloop process, you do want to choose by using your ears. NOOOOOOOOOOO!!I do multisampled instruments all the time, usually 15-20-something samples, but up to 52, taking every white key of an 88-note keyboard. Whole libraries of extensively multisampled stuff.Lagrange wrote:Have to do the looping yourself for a 64 key instrument with multiple layers?Bassballjg wrote:As it should be. Wait a minute.. Vsampler does batch autolooping? You've gotta explain that one to me please..

I was blown away the first time. So easy you'll wonder if that's all there is to itVonbrucken wrote:Directwave can do this tooit has Built-in VSTi host to easily automate "sampling" of your vst instruments directly .

can't go wrong with it as it has lifetime free-upgrade .
Glad to turn you on to it. VSampler with its editor and autolooping combined with sf2 output makes it the most powerful multisample instrument builder going. I can't say enough about how cool it is.Lagrange wrote:Hey thanks for that Info.. Doing it now.. processing.. So by doing that autoloop batch on an entire instrument, can I apply a specific loop outline to each instrument? THIS IS SO COOL.. I've had this app for how long now and I did'nt know it did that!
