TSL: What instruments do you want?

Hey,

I'm the one at bitr who is currently editing and converting our latest sample recording session data as well as that what bitr stored in the own archive during the last years, which is huge and a lot of this stuff is still unreleased. So this is your chance now as I'm allowed to define the priority list what's the next on my schedule. The more I know what's on your personal demand list I can consider this and add it to our new TSL series. Perhaps you already noticed that we're publishing new titles rather quickly now and we'll not stop so early! Any additional comments are welcome too!

I have Electravox - great cd-rom. Really original stuff. I use it a lot for percussion. I like the S1000/3000 format. I used to use an old S1000, but now I use VSampler which loads and plays Akai directly and brilliantly. Using the old Akai format takes a step out of loading programs, therefore it is much faster to audition sounds. Everyone seems to be on the Kontakt and HALion bandwagon. These can be cumbersome to load, especially if the .wav files are not in a close proximity to the programs. Give me Akai. An Electravox II would be great.

It's interesting because we already discussed an ElektraVox II here at bitr! Are you using vox'd? It's content provides some new vocals, and recently we did an update as well. At this moment we don't have enough samples for an entire ElektraVox II CD, but we'll consider your ideas though. Let me know if you're looking for something specific vocal related sample content,

Hi Harryson:

The Vocal Planet R&B male stuff is extremely useful. Short, melodic one liners sung by a good soul singer. Not to use permanently, but spark great ideas for lyrics and melodies - the toughest part for me. The groove is easy. There is plenty of female stuff - a genuine shortage of male samples. The two most useful are Vocal Planet and Black to Black. I hate to give away trade secrets, but.... A nice chorus doing more than Ooh's and aah's, maybe with some movement. Your "one shot" programs mapped across the keyboard are great. Need more and maybe more current outbursts. Great stuff. Auxillary percussion is always in short supply - other than the run of the mill Latin stuff. Big, phat, multilayer synth pads help me because doing it on a soft synth eats up cpu terribly. I use synth and vocal pads from cd-roms - no cpu drain. In fact, I borrowed a Motif ES and sampled a ton of pads, mapped them and converted to S1000 cd-roms. Filled up two cd's. Well, I've ranted enough. You guys are great - I'll be watching your site.
