Just to clear things up about FlyingHand Percussion.
It is mostly focuses on individual hand percussion instruments with a massive set of articulation and an amphasis on super realism.
However, (and it's a BIG however) due to the topology of the recordings and the level of detail it includes virtual ensemble instruments of cinematic and dramatic gestures. The big plus here is that those hits are totally modifyable and editable because they are made by mixing individual instruments in several ways to create 'virtual' ensembles. You can easily change the level, pan, fx and even replace istruments and create your own ensembles.
Take a listen to the cues and orchestral demos on the site:

So although it is more expensive than StormDrum right now, it offers more possibilities and with the Legato Drumming feature and a huge amount of articulations it behaves like the real instrument.

I'd get it, if there were more Japanese percussion stuff involved. Like Tsuzumi (small and big), okawa (like the small Tsuzumi, the otsuzumi, but played on the side and not on the shoulder), shime-daiko, chinese percussions... stuff that could be heard in the "Akira" and "Ghost in the Shell" movie soundtracks.
I have G-Town and QL Rare Instruments, but they only feature "large" drums, but not rare and unusual stuff like the upper mentioned. And Heart of Asia? Nevermind that (mostly loops and cymbals), Ethnic based instruments? I'm happy if there's more than bongos, but no cajon or whatever!
If there'd be a comprehensive VSTi with all those upper mentioned "missing" instruments included and that's also fair priced, I'd get it without hesitation.
