A 'maybe unfinished' remix of the song PLAYTIME by Fugue State that i am remixing and mangling. Kevin from Fugue State (also Skin Contact) has been gracious enough to let me take a shot at one of his songs.
Any feedback that is outside of the realm of "this isn't my bag, dude" would be welcome. Because, first off, this might not be anybodies bag.
Its an ambient electronica piece at first, then more glitch/IDM, then it really starts to get more aggressive towards the end. I really have no idea why it happened like that or if it was a good idea, hence the "unfortunate mix". It was a hapless victim of my A.D.D.
But for what its worth, I had fun making this.

peace and thank you for anyone actually listening all the way through a 7 min song remix,
Jazzyspoon

You should all really have a listen to this, even if you aren't a fan of my stuff otherwise. Jazzy definitely put his own mark on this, in a very good way. Excellent work!

Excellent. I will have to go back and listen to the original, but I really like this mix - particularly the end section which becomes quite nutty. It sort of reminds me of the excess of the hood remix of livetrap by themselves. But it's actually much more eminently listenable than that. A very well executed arc of energy.

pretty evl!
I love the dub/ragga blare in the beginning and the way it plummets into guitar noise towards the end.
Having said that I found the atmosphere created in the first third of it the most appealing.

Thanks seldom and Marco,
Haven't heard of Livetrap, so perhaps i will investigate that further. Nutty indeed. It bodes well for me that you enjoy nuttyness.
The dub/ragga blare you are referring to is actually just a synth swell from the original mix that i pitch twisted and layered for that exact effect.
Again, thanks for listening,
Jazzy

listened to the hood remix of livetrap finally. Thank you, seldom. Big compliment actually.
