Anyone recommend some basics of portable gear for live situations? I wish to incorporate a computer which will host my synth sounds, drum patterns and possibly light sampling. I would also like some recommendations for a good MIDI controller that is possibly tailored for and live setting, and having functions to switch programs and possibly trigger samples/loops. I recently got an offer to play in a metal band, but I have not really taken my equipment for a live setting before.
