Wasp and SimSynth Live demos are having problems following Cubase 4's StepDesigner midi plug-in. Firebird seem to follow it just fine.

Post

What do you mean with "following"? And what kind of problems?

Post

When you enter the "steps" in StepDesigner, its like a pattern sequencer. Putting in repeating notes or steps causes Wasp and SimSynth Live to lose sync with the pattern in StepDesigner.

Post

Do you mean that those plugins miss notes sent out by StepDesigner?

Post

Yes...

Post

I can't seem to make it happen here.

Can you make a simple Cubase song that demonstrates this and send it to me (address edited out)?

What version of Wasp and SimSynth do you use?

SimSynth Live is 1.1.8.10
Wasp is 2.2.6.20

I'll send you an example...

Ok. There's a newer version of SimSynth (1.1.9), but I don't think it fixes this. I'll wait for the example.

Just sent you a cubase file of what is happening...

Post

I haven't received the email yet.

You could also start a thread on our TechSupport forum and upload the file there.

I need some help here: how do I open the Wasp VSTi editor in that song?

Btw, could you try the Max Poly setting in Wasp, to see if it makes a difference?

Post

Click on the track name> then click the little piano symbol.

Increasing the poly to 32 didn't help...

Post

My guess is that it is a poly problem, as it behaved a little bit better at 512 max poly (I changed the limit temporarily).

But I can't be sure without looking at the sourcecode for the engine, and I don't have that yet. I'll check this out again when I do (hopefully soon).

Cool. Thanks...
