No audio will play back.

I tried it on a 32bit system and it works.

Could it be a windows settings issue, my system or is it a driver problem?

Please help.....

Check that you have the correct drivers installed.

Thanks for the reply Integratron.

I have the newest drivers installed, emailed Motu and tried all of the basic fixes.
Hello,

Thank you for your email.

If you go to the Sounds and Audio Devices Control Panel, make sure that you see the UltraLite listed as a device under the Audio tab where it says Sound Playback Device. If you see the UltraLite here, choose the Main Outs or Phones. Then, apply and re-open Windows Media Player and see if the audio comes out correctly. If this does not work, please try the following:

- Try a factory reset - push the Setup knob, turn it all the way to the right and follow the directions on the LCD. (828 mk II, Traveler and UltraLite ONLY)
- Try setting both your Optical Input and Optical Output in the MOTU Console to ADAT.
- Try setting the buffer size to 256 in the MOTU Audio Setup.
- Try a different Firewire cable.
- Try removing all other Firewire devices.
- Try different Firewire ports.
- Try powering the unit via Firewire or DC power
- Try the unit with a different computer, if possible.
- If you use a PCI Firewire card, check to make sure your card uses the Texas Instruments or Lucent chipset.
- Try reinstalling drivers.

And still no audio. This is my 5th audio interface that I have worked with thru the years so I am pretty versed on installations. Getting a good audio interface for my new system has been a big pain. At this moment I feel like my new win xp64 bit pc is a waste of money if i can't get any pro intefaces to work.

The crazy thing is I loaded a soundblaster card and it worked. M-audio beta drivers don't work and so far Motu doesn't work completely.

Grrrr....

Thanks for the reply.....

Sounds like a driver issue. You should put 32 bit XP on the system instead of 64 bit.

Hello,

Thank you for your email.

How much RAM is in your computer? Can you try putting in no more than 2 GB and see what happens?

So I installed win xp 32bit and everything works. So it really comes down to the Motu Ultralite 64bit drivers.
