What are you still missing from XT2?

Okay, first of all, this isn't meant to be a "hey, Jorgen, please can you abandon your detailed development and release schedule to do what's most useful to me" thread. Those of us using XT2 are doing so at our own risk until it is officially out of beta. But I'm curious: what (if any) features is XT2 still lacking that force you to keep using XT1 (or other sequencers) for stuff?
From where I'm sat, it's the lack of a slicer, the lack of pop-up midi editing (I can kind of live with this but only just) and the lack of CC maps.
What about you?

It's a rave, Lewis!

XT2 is allready good enough to make a full blown track with!!
But! at this stage of a beta it would be risky to start a important project in as these big updates may well not be compatible with forthcoming updates,
make the full switch at your own risk!!

yeah - plus i'd like to see cc conversion modules and stuff - and i hope the midi learn will be faster to work with - as someone said in another thread, it's really a pain to scroll through hundreds of parameters to find the one to which you want to assign a controller...DAAHOOD wrote:and also midi modules such as patcher/transposer/arpeg...lack of CC maps
(EXT1 remains my fav DAW for live uses and experiments with its full midi map)
xt rocks, hope xt2 will, too...

I'd like to see something like in ableton live where you just insert an effect or a synth, press record, tweak and the automation gets recorded while you jam. Perhaps in the future?
Something else I'd like to see but not critical is the ability to use feedback. Perhaps has an option in the setup and PDC would be disabled when using it.

The only things I miss right now would be audio clip editing and slicing and the otion to see the values of automation in the automation lane window but I guess live tweaks would solve this too.
I am actually enourmously thankfull to Jörgen for the floating piano roll and the "showing of note's names in the piano roll"
I still should buy me a MIDI controller and learn to play keys. I'll keep repeating this mantra until I make myself save some money and buy one

I hadn't really got into the habit of using the XT1 audio editor yet, so the fact that there isn't one in XT2 yet doesn't hold me up much...janka wrote: An audio-editor would be great....

-audio parts
-volume envelopes on audio clips
-envelope tracks! (a wierd implementation of automation in ext 1, but very unique and useful, better than other sequencers, more flexible)
-linear/circular VST controls option
-no live mode? no VST version?
