Hi,
Can anyone recommend a program to do the following:
I have wav files of beats (things I've sampled).
I know the bpm of the beats. The problem is that they are not cut. Most have a few extra beats after the first loop.
I'm looking for a program which I can give the bpm and number of bars and the program will cut it for me.
I own soundforge and ableton if that helps.
Any ideas? Thanks in advance.

perhaps this?
WaveCutter is a tool that divides large WAV files into smaller ones as specified length. When you convert analog sound such as LP record, compact cassette tape, etc. into digital, you can record whole side of sound at a time into one WAV file. After that, you can edit it with WaveCutter to be separate smaller WAV files of each piece of music with ease of use operation

Or simply use the macro possibility in either wavelab or cool edit pro or other wave editors out there

Problem is if you're off by just a fraction of a BPM you can get clicks and nasties. So it may not be as straightforward as you think. I'd never trust a machine to do those things.

+1 !! Just use any ole audio editor, even Audacity may do fine. Select a whole bar, check it loops seamless by playing it in looped mode. Copy the selection and paste to new, save WAV: presto!!jupiter8 wrote:I'd never trust a machine to do those things.
