Hi, I want to know how to layer together heaps of cool sounds so people will realise my music was made by me.
Do I have to play the sounds myself with some kind of machine or can I buy a machine to make the sounds for me and i just hit record and print off a record?

Yes. Three times a week, but not on Tuesdays.rogavit wrote:Hi, I want to know how to layer together heaps of cool sounds so people will realise my music was made by me.

Creating your own unique sounds require an understanding of sampling and/or synthesis.rogavit wrote:Hi, I want to know how to layer together heaps of cool sounds so people will realise my music was made by me.

1 - Learn some basic synthesis (or advanced, i donut know where you are, etc) and find your favorite synths.
2 - Same with sampling, find your favorite types of source sounds.
3 - Learn to use effects in standard way.
4 - Experiment, using standard procedures and exploring the immediate parameters available to you.
5 - Learn to layer using eq and ting. Use five souces to create one "sound" or "layer".
6 - Real time modulation can help (automation tings)
7 - Something you think of yourself.

Right on!rogavit wrote: I want to know how to layer together heaps of cool sounds
Doesn't this presuppose the fact that people know you layer together heaps of cool sounds? IMHO, this is a job for marketing.rogavit wrote: so people will realise my music was made by me.
Yes. Otherwise people will most likely realise that the music was not made by you. However, this does not necessarily imply that some kind of machine must be used.rogavit wrote: Do I have to play the sounds myself with some kind of machine
Why, that's materialistic to the core! However, I'd be willing to bet that most marketing surveys would prove that materialists make up the majority of most markets.rogavit wrote: or can I buy a machine to make the sounds for me and i just hit record and print off a record?

I love it. Whenever a legitimate post is made, you generally respond with some some inane troll-like nonsense, such as "YAY!".laputa_sync wrote:Creating your own unique sounds require an understanding of sampling and/or synthesis.rogavit wrote:Hi, I want to know how to layer together heaps of cool sounds so people will realise my music was made by me.

However, when an idiotic post like this is made, you respond with a well thought out answer.
You're a very odd little critter dude.
