Whats the Recommended Way to install the new Juicepack

You can install over the old one, but I suggest uninstalling it first.

is it possible to make it so that edison can drag and drop in and out of ableton Live

Not directly. Edison uses a new, more advanced method of drag and drop, while most other applications appear to support only the old way. I'm constantly on the lookout for a solution for this, but haven't found one so far.
In the meantime you can drag to Windows Explorer first, and then to Live.
