No, thank you for your valuable insight! :hail:

(Of course you could as well have nicely and simply asked how to add a synth in XT2 and would have received a nice and simple answer, but hey: to each their own)

I agree Xioath could have worded that much better, but the current browser set up isnt fully tweaked yet and right clicking in the comp view ala XT1 would be nice

+1

in fact I say this all the time...
and right clicking in the comp view ala XT1 would be nice

yes, one of the first requests I made about the browser was being able to right-click any destination and select 'add plugin' and the 'plugins'-browser-tab* opens** and the plugin(s) you then double-click get(s) inserted

*of course browser-tabs would need to be implemented first :hihi:

** this request shows that the 'comps' section as it is now doesn't make much sense - where's the difference between the synth/sampler and a vsti from a user's point of view?

but alas: I'm having a deja vu right now... :?

My understanding is that at the moment you have to drag and drop VSTs... I think?

Bit annoying, yeah.

Post

ReWire, ReWire and did I mention that ReWire might be nice?

I know this is an oldie but right now I am looking for another host just so as I can be using Reason again.

:)

Post

Funny you should mention that. When I started looking at ext forthcoming linux support was a plus (jack!!!!) and rewire a definite minus. Sorry, but personally I loathe reason & rewire.

Post

Rewire was a minus, or just not important? I don't know why having Rewire support would make a person want to avoid the software?

Post

Some algoritmic MIDI plugs would be nice (a version of KeyKit (http://www.nosuch.com/keykit/) for Energy XT2 would be so cewl).
And: ReWire

Post

yeah modular without right-click loses strengh..

Consider picking up Bidule to use inside energyXT (or eXT inside Bidule). That would give you Rewire inside eXT plus tons of other modular goodies. Between the two programs you can accomplish all kinds of insane routing.

I wish Plogue would give a Demo of the VST Bidule as the other way around does not do it for me. I'm also concerned about the extra CPU from another host.

according to Jorgen Henning is on the case :tu:

Subz

groove templates - that would be nice - especially after subz translated all those MPC grooves to ext format. Did I ever thank you for that, Subz ? :-)

Post
