I just want to start recording... is that too much to ask? I have an Echo Gina 3G interface. It doesn't have a switch on it for turning on phantom power like I know some do, so how do I turn it on? I have the trial version of Traktion and this "incomplete" older version of Cubase that was given to me via a friend (my addiction for buying guitars weighs more heavily on my wallet than my desire for decent software). I was told by my recording software keener friend (who neglects my needs) that I'd probably need to turn in on somewhere in whatever software I was using if that helps.
My compressor mic is just sitting there - it's very depressing. I'd really appreciate any advice or suggestions at all. Thanks!

I don't know why I looked this up, but according to the manual, there's a switch in the console software (the mixer) that you installed with your interface. The control isn't in Traktion or Cubase; it's in the Gina's software.

I don't know why either, but I really appreciate it. Thanks
