Under £150 would be nice, but if its really worth the extra then i could stretch a bit more after i get paid.

A thread here a little while back indicated these were good. If they're still in stock (check first!), they might do.

An idiot on Set Theory:

Also do check the contenders (side by side listening test if possible) like Alesis M1, Samson Resolv80, Behringer Truth B2030A and Tannoy Reveal 5A, KRK RP5 Rokit, Yamaha MSP3
We are the KVR collective. Resistance is futile. You will be assimilated.

Find yourself two of these 17" ViewSonic Monitors. I've had a pair for three years in tandem and couldn't be happier. They're out of production but not out of service. Great prices abound: Google "V171b" and check it out.

I use and recommend the ESI nEar 05's: good, clear sound for the price. But Whyterabbit's link looks very interesting...!

Boy, this'll be an easy decision, eh? You've even got the wrong kind of monitors to choose from!

As tough as this is to believe, I'm relatively smart. I wasn't drunk. No hard drugs and I realize that I'm not on a computer video site. I could really use a good excuse.

You guys are so silly.
It's obvious that he's looking for this type of monitor:

There are quite a few nice models to choose from, but I suspect that the really high-quality older ones will weigh more than 200 pounds.

I hate being a chowderhead in public. Oh well, it's only the internet: how many people could potentially see my sillyness? Oh yea, five billion.
I need a big juicy rationalization. For what it's worth, with digital DVI and 8ms response, my ViewSonics in tandem rule!
