tips for looping instrument samples?

I agree with you, it's not in the manual, and I'm sorry, I thought it was. But people are not deaf ! If you are not satisfy with the loop function inside Discovery, then you have to do it manually with any wav editor (audacity, wavosaur for example). Anyway, I think that you can move the looping point inside Discovery.
There's another solution : try the seamless looper (see Mr Tune's post), but it's not free. You can download a demo, I haven't tried it yet.
