about Pad1 ..i always found it VERY useful to try to lay down sketches of chords with super low weight on the cpu and eventually right after loading up a "heavy" vsti to use a different sound...but i found myself even using simply that one to provide a basic pad sound ready to be devastated thru a pile of plugins FX..
thx also for the bank, Bfunku, btw
Peace

Thanks for Knork+ and thanks for the bank! It's like Lagrange said in another thread, sometimes the easy stuff is great

I am still using a P4
So CPU-light VST(i)'s are appreciated!
This thread is cool, makes me think about the first time I downloaded FX and some of them I could not use, cos I was on P2. I remember not being able to 'run' SIR because of this.
I could load the VST and see the GUI, but running it? No way! Not with a P2.
Now my P4 can do a lot more, but still, the limits of my CPU and Sequencer (Logic) are reached, so my search for more (modern) VST's is almost over. It is very cool to see some oldies again; they were great back then, and I still dog them today.

I have a Pentium 4 and It can run just about anything I throw at it. I can run Cubase SX3,Orion Platinum 7, and WaveLab 5 at the same time with No problems at all with CPU to spare. I guess Having 4gigs of Ram does make a difference.

Actually, some of these old synths are very heavy cpu users, esp. some of the synthedit stuff that was never optimized much - I'm thiking of Artphase, which while lush, can post some big hits.
It is fun, the austerity of it though

Hello,
SPACEWINDOW's DISPHASE VSTi 0.91 can be found here:
http://sk-lab.narod.ru/Vsti.htm
Also Artphase 1.0 is there.
I'm still looking for Artphase 1.5 though!
