Hi,
I looked at the M-Audio Axiom 49 today and saw that it has four zones for splits and layers. Within each zone, patch and bank changes can be programmed. Are there other smaller controllers that offer this?
My intention is to use a new controller as a go-between from my 88 key controller to my Roland XV-5080, in order to provide features that my outdated 88 key model is lacking:
Big old controller --> smaller new controller --> live rig
So far the M-Audio Axiom 49 (or 61) seems like my only choice.
Which Keyboard Controllers Have Zones?

By having zones, does this imply that you can specify ranges on the keyboard and which octaves they map to? If so, that seems useful for sample libraries that use keyswitches.

Slightly OT, but I've just got a XBoard 49 and I'm quietly impressed so farew wrote:The E-MU XBoards have zones as well. I've got a XBoard 61 myself...
