How to create vibrato/modulation in ManyStation?

Hello,

I'm hoping someone can assist me with creating vibrato/modulation effects in ManyStation.

I'm trying to use aftertouch to control the vibrato/modulation. I don't understand how to modify the sounds/presets to create a vibrato/modulation effect. It's interesting that some of the presets I'm using (from Wusik) have the vibrato effect working, but other don't and I haven't been able to figure out how to create that effect.

If someone can provide some advice or point me to a reference source I would very much appreciate it.

Hy David.

Open up the Configuration page, there's an option there called "Mod Matrix Tools" that adds Aftertouch to Pitch. (aka vibrato effect)

Thanks for the reply. I have in fact opened the Mod Matrix before, but just setting Add Vibrato- Aftertouch, adds a row to the Mod Matrix, but doesn't seem to apply vibrato -at least for many presets. Is there something more that I need to configure?

As a specific example, if I load preset WusikSound\FamousKeys\Synth\Solo Saw and then set Add Vibrato- Aftertouch, I don't seem to get a vibrato effect while applying pressure to the keys - yet on preset Manystation\MT_10_SynthStation\Led-LeadGlide it works.

It should add 2 rows, not just one. If its adding only one, there's a problem somewhere. Can you check that?

Apart from that, no clue on what could be happening, sorry.

Yes it does add two rows.

So, you are saying that if I select "Add Vibrato- Aftertouch" to any preset - the vibrato effect should be added automatically - no further configuration is required - no adjustments fo filter freq, rate, etc.?

If so, I don't understand why I haven't been able to add vibrato to existing presets, yet other presets have the vibrato effect working.

Paul, could this me some implementation difference between the Wusik 3 presets and the Manystation presets? I notice that in my example above the Manytone preset has vibrato working, but not the Wusik preset. Thoughts?

What about the LFO settings... Perhaps they are on a setting that is not noticeable so the aftertouch has no affect?
