When I called my local Borders bookstore on Friday, one of their employees told me they had at least half a dozen copies of the July issue of Computer Music on the shelf. When I got there the next day, there were none. So either there's a larger computer music community in central North Carolina than I thought... or that little bastard was lying through his teeth. I walked out muttering like Yosemite Sam. :x :x :x :x :x :x :x :x :x :x :x :x

Then I went to the Barnes and Noble hidden behind a used car lot down the street. (Long and sordid story, that.) And there it was, clear as day on the newsstand. CM-505 was mine. :hihi: :D :hihi: :D :hihi: :D

I was so happy I started flirting with that cute blonde sitting behind me with the stack of the New York City travel books. To bad she was married...

I haven't even installed it yet. I'm just excited that I actually have it. Funny how that works...

-David, who'll play with it a bit tonight.

CM-505 landed at the Borders in Niles OH yesterday... and landed on my hard drive a couple hours later. Already registered to get the bonus presets, as well (but them I'm already a Linplug customer)...

If you buy CM every month anyway you should subscribe. I get mine from an outfit called British Magazines (I've posted about them before), and I've had CM 505 for several weeks now. At $13 it's more expensive than the bookstore, but reliable and early.

I've been subscribing to CM since the third issue. I do it online http://www.computermusic.co.uk/main.asp. I think my subscription comes to around $8.50 an issue. And I don't have to troll B&N (except for fun :) )

BTW CM505 is great. I love playing with it in Project5. To me it plays better than nPulse. Have fun!

I don't know what the buzz is about the CM-505. In my opinion the Drumatic sounds much better:

Maybe. At these prices, though, I see nothing wrong with having two drum synths with different sounds on hand, especially given the number of presets and patterns that come with the CM-505. 8)

Besides, we want Peter to feel the love. :D

-David, trying to tone down my gear lust after this one.
