Surround sound downloads, best file type ?

Been a couple of surround soundscapes Ive been working on and want to put online , however what do you think is the most user friendly file type for people to download them ? There is MP4 any other suggestions ?

Noone ? Another question then - I am also wondering - do you or many of the people you know have a 5.1 facilities on which to listen to such music ?
