Actually, I created a plug-in using SynthMaker called the Progressilator that was for modifying notes it processed using keyboard input to control chords and major/min/7th/6th etc..soma wrote: I think my plugins are great but really this would be a PIA to do with a plugin. I think what he wants to do is take a lead and turn each note into a differnet chord/inversion. Plugins would be great if you want each note to be teh same chord but if each note is a differnt chord (7th, minor, major, inverted, etc.) even automating with the awesome chord space is a pain.
It was limited because it was a proof of concept at the time. Actually it worked when I was using automation to control the chord changes (not that useful), but when I used the keyboard, I obviously had a flaw in the schematic somewhere.
Additionally you have to be really careful with transposition in general - very easy to get hung notes.
Anyway - I have completely dismissed the idea and REAPER allows the offline rendering of plug-ins which means you can do progressions in an offline/destructive editing way. Better than nothing.
I should go back to that device, take out all my attempts at fancy automation and allow it to be a quick progression processing tool.

Caleb

hmm seriously dudes look at tonespace, it can be set to manual chord and then you can automate chord type and voicing, it's a bit cumbersome to set up, but just pre build small automation clips that you rename according to the chord they trigger and voila.
eXT2 even displays the chord type in the automation lane so when the implementation gets polished it's gonna be even easier !

I'm still flying blind - can't tell which vst patch number I haved choosed.
Can't tell the velocity number.
All cc numbers aren't on top - do I just not know where to look?
And do I also just not know how to midi-stretch?
