what are the best and most interesting sounds you've ever created on a synthesizer, which sounds not like a typical synth sound?
for example vocals or any sound effects that sounds very natural, and wouldn't be expected from a synth...
if you like please describe the sound, what synth you have used and maybe how you have done this sound...

Christophe Duquesne has made some outstanding synths in Tassman that transend the typical 'synth' sound. The vocal patches I was able to get are especially interesting.
Also, I'm currently exploring StringZ2 and Richman2, both of which can give very acoustic-like sounds, that are far removed from your typical electronic synth patch.
However, I won't even attempt to describe some of the sounds I got. How can I ? If time permits, I might post some audio examples later...

hehe, I made the wierdest sound on Albino III yesterday...it sounds like an old radio that's tuned into a highschool band member playing a trumpet that hasn't had it's spit valve emptied in months.
Well, that's my opinion at least.
Peace

I created what sounded like weird babbling voices singing in bizarre harmonies and the sound of a screaming donkey being ravaged by an elephant using a Teisco twin oscilator synth. I have no idea how I did it as I just twiddled all the knobs randomly. It was when I first got into synths.
Most synth noises I make dont sound like a typical syth sound though. Mostly I use Max MSP for synthesis these days not so much hardware synths and I try and avoid plugins with presets etc.

I have made so many sounds that others have commented on as being previously unhead I wouldn't even know where to begin.
I REALLY wanna hear the raped donkey, Dreams.

I made a spooky wind sound on my Pro One once, really realistic... gave me goosebumps...
could never find it again though (no, like, patch memories...)

Ill see if I can dig it out, I have a recording somewhere , though I said ravaged - the donkey sounded like it was enjoying itself - I feel this is an important distinctionrunagate wrote:I have made so many sounds that others have commented on as being previously unhead I wouldn't even know where to begin.
