can anyone help me in making a list of the best free sampler vstis?

not like battery though, just something simple - like 1 sample layed across the keys.

also, effects not too important.

Cyber Free is a personal fave of mine. Don't know if it's still avaiable from the EXT site but its still downloadable from here at good ol' KVR by the looks of it.

Sadly, none of the ioplong plugins are in the KVR database. Check out Slifty, excellent sampler (although not always perfectly stable):
