Is this release a beta release or is it an actual release. The reason I ask is because on the DirectWave forum on the FL site it says it's beta4... I would much rather know if it is a beta release and if I am going to be used as a tester. I would rather wait until an official version release instead of having to uninstall/reinstall/uninstall/etc. It seems that some of the releases have actually created more problems than it has fixed. I am still behind DirectWave and am loving it, it's just that waiting for features and fixes have seemed to be more of a bummer than a joy.

It's an actual release.
The reason the FL version is in beta is because FL as such is in beta.

There is a bug or two! The Samplefusion downloads do not go into the current installation path directory for Directwave. They seem to go into <current parent directory>/VSTplugins/Directwave/Samplefusion/etc which is just plain wrong.... It should reference the path given in options
Also, it is annoying that the download manager stays open after dl'ing from Directwave - it should close automatically, or at least there should be an option on the matter.

The downloader now has a separate setting for this (so it can be shared between FL and DirectWave VSTi).adam standring wrote:The Samplefusion downloads do not go into the current installation path directory for Directwave.
Click the Options button in the download selector window and set the "directwave" path to your liking.
There is an option. Click Options in the download manager, there's an item called "Close when downloads are done".Also, it is annoying that the download manager stays open after dl'ing from Directwave - it should close automatically, or at least there should be an option on the matter.

i have a serious bug found, where i can report this to the autor?
bug description :
i have tried this plugin for importing large gigs, advanced orchestra, sam horns, and so on, during loading a *.gig renoise shows a errorbox which claims something about gui-peak, after pressing a key renoise is frozen to death.
happend 10 or more times with 2 versions of directwave-vsti (2.5 and 2.10xx) and about 10 different gig-files.
btw, some gigfiles work and doesnt cause a crash, from the same lib, so it may be a failure in directwave or rns ?
edit:
have tested this vsti with audiomulch and its the same behavior, it seems that this vsti is buggy .

Some gig's just wont work with DW. This could a chicken translator module issue
really, but anyway, large gig's are likely to not work with DW anyway, as
they would require a lot of RAM due to pointed dimensions to redudant
samples. This would have to be revised in a major DW update / rewriting to
do it properly.
Argu.

Argu, please, please don't worry about this kind of thing. Only basic "Gig" compatibility is needed and you've already done a great job providing that.arguru wrote:Some gig's just wont work with DW. This could a chicken translator module issue

Please, if possible, focus on refining the existing feature set and getting the Mac version out.
