It's not asked me for a new authorisation. Using my prior serial etc.
Finally - mousewheel support!

The 2.1 standalone is playing in mono, with no signal at all on the right side. Plays fine in Cubase SX 3.1.

check your Audio settings in SS2 standalone. Propably the same problem I had with ST2 earlier, where the Audio device channel names where interpreted the same for Right / left. re-select the left and right, and I'll think you'll have it working again.

SS has more, well, "synth" type presets as compared to actual instruments for ST. It depends upon what you write. If you don't need synth stuff and use only sampled acoustic instruments, then ST + esoundz stuff will do you well.Beardedone wrote:Is there any advantage in using SonikSynth if I have SampleTank 2?
I have, though, found some nice acoustic instrument patches in SS - a bass and acoustic guitar or two that were rather nice. But, honedtly, I think you can get what you need that you're missing on an "as needed" basis from eS and do better that way.
If you do a lot of synth work, you'll suffer no trouble by acquiring SS, especially if you don't have any sort of "monster synth" type plug yet.
Just one perspective...

I still can't load the new SS2.1 combi-presets in ST2
(using version 2.2.2)
I have re-installed the SS2.0 combi-presets, then ST2 loads them fine, so there is definitely something strange going on here ...

Is anyone else experiencing sloooow downloads for SS2.1, CSR 1.1 and AT2.1?
I tried late last night and it was taking forever (I've got a fast broadband connection). Can anyone recommend a better time to get these files?
Thanks

EDIT: Early afternoon it was back up to high speed. Good to go.

But aside from the combi presets, is there anything SS2.1 can do that ST2.2 can't?ttoz wrote:i have both SS2 and ST2 and decided now with 2.1 to also install SS2 as a dedicated SS2 library player rather than use ST2 as a front end for the SS2 sounds like I have been.
Just nice to get a fresh gui, and those new combi presets:)
