Alritey folks, not sure if this is in the right section -couldn't really find one to suit the question. I'm in the process of moving my setup into a different room far smaller than the one it was in before. Unfortunately I'm having problems with the acoustics in the new room- some of the walls are concrete and this seems to be giving me a nasty reverb making it impossible to judge kick drums etc. Its pretty tight so the sound seems to be boucing around a lot.

Basically I'm thinking of some sort of insulation or else better positioing of the monitors etc, although I'm pretty inexperienced in the domain so any suggestions wil be much appreciated :D

Cover up the concrete walls with curtains, closets, planks with junk, anything! That will all kill reflections.
