ok, i have found the Miroslav Philharmonik Crossgrade/ Upgrade but i have a few questions:
1. what is the story with the dongle? i have sampletank 2.2 xl and i would like to load the Miroslav Philharmonik samples into sampletank do i need a dongle?
2. does the dongle come with Miroslav Philharmonik Crossgrade/ Upgrade or must i purchase it separely?
3. i am under the assumption that for verions 1.1 of Miroslav Philharmonik does not need a dongle so, does one have to purchase the dongle for the intial atuhorization?
4. is there a way to download Miroslav Philharmonik 1.1 without purchasing a dongle?
i am just trying to find out the hiden cost of Miroslav Philharmonik Crossgrade/ Upgrade. any insight would be great.
thanks

!) Dongle is gone from version 1.1 so any boxes shipping with 1.1 won't have the dongle. Version 1.0 boxes included the dongle. You can't load the Philharmonik sounds in ST2 yet. Taht's coming in the 2.5 update (I believe.)
2) See above
3) See above
If the version you get in the box needs a dongle it will be in the box.
4) Dude...it's like 7+ gigs of samples..d/l would be horrendous.
So, there are no hidden costs until after you install it. That's when it costs all your free time playing with it

Thanks for correcting me Kim...that was the one point I wasn't sure on...as you can tell, I haven't tried it yet
Too busy playing with the Jimi edition of AT2
It's just too much fun....could be just me but I swear this thing sounds just like my old live rig (only better cuz I never owned most of this gear.)
This one might actually sell me on the StompIO.
Sorry for the thread hijack

The reverb effect in Philharmonik is basically the Classik Studio Reverb. It's what sold me on "the must have" factor of CSR!
ST2 does not have the CSR verb and Kim is hinting that it's going to

There is a version of the CSR reverb that shows up in the effects list included with Philharmonik which currently isn't in Sampletank. It basically means that you'll be able to load any of your Philharmonik sounds into Sampletank, but not the Combinations. You can however use Philharmonik sounds into your own custom Sampletank combinations. It's a sweet set up!neverenoughfunk wrote:thanks for the information.

If I remember correctly, there is a free update coming for ST that includes the CSR effect, which will overcome this minor glitch.

Yes, as Beergeek said Philharmonik has a custom version of CSR Hall built in, specially tuned to match the ambience of the Dvorak Hall (which the orchestra was recorded in). It really sounds beautiful.
I'm (not) hinting that it's coming to ST2 soon. I'm just saying it's not in this current release of ST2.

the cheap always comes out expensive...
i just recieved my copy philharmonik and all i can say is wow...
i purchase gpo (group buy) because i "had" to have an orchestra package but after using philharmonik for a few hours i realized that gpo was a waste.
i must go now because i have to finish my second movement of my first classical piece.
just imagine neverenoughfunk making classical.
p.s. the classical piece is grooving with a back beat. i created a new genre funk classical.
peace to all
