Yes, you are right. Right now manual shuffle is the only way. But swing/shuffle slider can save us a lot of time programing variations. My vote for that.

I agree, I can't beleive I didn't implement that feature yet.
Thinking aloud: perhaps there should be both a nondestructive (won't actually move the events) and a destructive mode (like an "apply groove" button that will move the events) so you can manually override parts of the groove if you like.

Great idea! And swing/shuffle slider so you can set how drastic time changes you want.

If you're thinking of groove templates, I've got 909, mpc60/3000, sp12, working on ASR - you could add as standard. Extract groove from audio loop would also be a very handy feature (maybe Jorgen & you could make your groove files compatible between liveslice & XT2, as he is working on groove/swing). =]

Ooooh - now there's a collaboration. You could insert the whole LiveSlice functionality completely into the drum track functionality in XT2.

Great idea! I'm working these days constantly with Liveslice+XT combination, and I'm finding that these two are made for each other. Maybe just two things are missing: XT note chasing function (or maybe I'm not aware of it) and something like pattern tracks (sending midi notes like regular ones, but with editable names and duration), something like pattern tracks in Reason for example...
And that drum track integration would be a killer one
