Q: What do the cables red , black , and green with yellow straps stands for ?

A: In most Asian countries which follow the British standard , red cable is used for live , the black cable is used for neutral and the green with yellow straps is used for earth .
Basic EQ tip: highpass all that don't hit subs, usually all but bass and kick

can i run my mike through this valve? is it worth doing?

the manual shoes that i can monitor the input live, will that be going through the valve?

i have powered it up but i think the motor has gone, play FF & rew all do nothing, if i press play & manually spin the reels i can here the content of the tape,

Cool... If you had another deck, you could make an old-skool tape delay, using 1 or 2 mic stands (as capstans)...

veriify the straps inside, maybe thay are undone

Also be sure there's not just a loose connection or a dirty switch in the power leads to the motor. Dirty open contacts can usually be burnished... sometimes filed down if need be. =>_<= Always makes me feel as if I were working on pinball flippers again. Crude. "Stone knives, Jim!"

Probably yes you can, if you use the mic input (there's probably also a line input.) Worth it?? Hardly me thinks... You'll get a "different" (lofi) sound but weather that's THE valve sound you're after I dunno.

Yes, there's no real choice for it than to go through a valve for amplification. There's probably more than one valve inside. Those days equipment was designed either fully with transistors or fully with valves. Hybrid designs weren't very common.
