nice pedals for distorting my analogue kickdrums?which guitar-pedal for kickdrum-distortion (Hardcore Kicks)

I suggest you get a bass overdrive pedal instead of guitar pedal, because they would most propably lose too much of the lower end of the kick. Here are some examples for you:

- T-REX BASS JUICE ($225)

Marshall BluesBreaker (the black one not the silver one) for very slight distortion but a completely different texture
Marshall Shredmaster for a big range of fully distorted sounds

dude. hands down, get a zoom trimetal pedal, they dont make them anymore, but a used one shouldnt cost anymore than 50 bux. it was designed to sound like a boss metalzone, only it was made during the 7-string loving early 2000's so it does a better job at not thinning out the low end even at superdistorted levels, that and it has a sweepable midrange eq that can produce some wicked effects for creating variations on your hardcore kickdrums. it was essential to my setup during my HC DnB/Breakcore/Gabber days. i also know a buncha powernoise dudes who swear by it.

I got the Line6 multimodel thing that emulates classic stompboxes. The nice thing is that it has three band tone controls that makes it suitable for sounds outside the guitar spectrum like your kicks. Saves you the space of a shelf full of stompboxes too. The price is not so nice though...
We put whole tracks through that thing. Maybe that says more about us then...

you mean the pod? which version are you using? pod 2.0, pod xt, bass pod?

Expensive indeed! But it has that elusive tight and crunchy sound alot of the time. Not that weezing, undefined noise that you get from a lot of digital distortion. First five tracks (OSF.1 rehearsal) uses that pedal for all the distortion (not very hardcore though).
