That's right, I'm really lacking any words. No wonder, while throwing up talking becomes quite difficult.
The thing I don't understand is, why have so many guitars if they all sound exactly the same?

Why only have one guitar when you could just as well have four?

In an X.

Around your neck, even.

Better don't ask me. Well, but he's got that mullet as well. I mean, that should bring up even more important questions, no?

And as far as Hinks link to Eddie Van Halen goes: What a poor guy. And I really loved him back in the days.

The highest form of knowledge is empathy, for it requires us to suspend our egos and live in another's world. It requires profound, purpose‐larger‐than‐the‐self kind of understanding.

Very cool . . . Looks amazing! Sounds like shit! Seriously, these multitouch schemes really are cool, but I have yet to hear one that sounds anything like good. I wonder if that's because the videos are of people involved in developing the control technology (with no worthwhile musical ideas) or if the technology simply looks cool while making good composition difficult. I suspect the former . . . fear the latter.

Ah, Dinosaur. What did I ever do without you?

I do agree with you, most of these things come across as interactive play toy art installation things, I am eagerly awaiting someone to demonstrate a structure performance with such a system. I'm not saying you can't improvise and experiment but there has to be some form of structure, just look at the most obscure jazz out there, it's all based on underlying music principles and not random notes that just happened to form because some pixels were in a certain spot.

That said, I don't want to condone what these guys are doing musically either, it's a form of expression and everyone is entitled to their own perspective, I just think that when the flashy gimmick-ness wears thin, people are going to be expecting more out of this new tec.

Excellent. The thing that I find about Wes is that even when he is doing his cheesiest, most commercial stuff, he does it with so good taste. I'm sure he could make art of even the most artless tune.
