Free Glitchy Loops For All

Hi Folks,

Just testing out some new gear...figured I'd share the results with anyone who feels the need to use them.

So, I present 12 (I think) loops (3 sets of 4)...they're all pretty dirty/gritty and glitchy. All in Wave format, 16 bit, 44.1, and ACIDized. IIRC, I ran all of them at 120bpm...but feel free to stretch them out to various tempos. They're released under the Pro-Sounds license...so you can do anything you want with them, except sell them. But then again, hehe, why would you want to.

no they don't suck! good loops. thanks for sharing. I liked deep1.wav the most of them all. my critique is that when i'm looking to throw a glitch loop into a piece i'm typically looking for one that isn't too busy so it can blend with the other drums ok. if it is too busy then i have to do heavy eq. if you want a good example of some useful glitch loops check out soniccouture's abstrakt breaks if you dont have it already. however, some of those loops are a bit too busy for my tastes as well but the greater whole i find to be very unique and catchy. i mean everyone has different tastes of course, but i think the most useful glitch loops would be ones that break the loops up into different parts so they can be stacked, and also a version of the loop with a lesser degree of glitch on it.

another critique is that i'm hearing heavy use of the Glitch vst here. in general that's ok, it creates amazing fx, hands down the best toolbox out there(imo), but if i'm checking out loops i'd rather hear stuff that i can't really do with dblue's effect that well. you know what i mean? i sure hope you used that vst or else my critique is way off

Thanx for the tips as well. Yeah, I don't think "Glitch" was the right word for me to use...as It pertains more to a genre than anything else...perhaps 'choppy' would have been better . I was going for more of a deep, grungy hip-hop type sound, but with all the wierd glitchy effects.

Agreed, Dblue's Glitch Vst is priceless. Automates the entire process in one click. Definitely worth a donation.
